Las Vegas, NV (AHN) - Recognizing the best in Latino music, the Latin Grammy Awards is set to take place in Las Vegas this year.
Las Vegas, known as Sin City, is also the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' and the most desired destination for Hispanics - with 2.4 million visiting last year.
Previous Latino Grammy Awards have taken place in Los Angeles and Miami with last year's awards televised live from New York's Madison Square Gardens and 11.3 million viewers tuning in. Shakira was the big winner in 2006, winning five awards.
The eighth Latin Grammy Awards will take place on November 8 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
